Check Engine Light 200

Hello,
They other night I was driving my 1990 volvo 240 automatic through a snow storm and to my surprise the check engine turned on. I was surprised it worked. I immediately thought oh a sensor is wet no big deal. It is now two days later and very dry, the light is still on with a rough idle. Please any input is helpful, along with a list of what can cause this light to turn on. I do believe that it is the original catalytic converter if that means anything.
Thanks,
Mackenzie
