Alternatives to stock 940 fuel filter assembly?

My mechanic has informed me that he (I) have a problem. He's doing my service and when we talked today he explained that when he tried to service my fuel filter the nut/bolt and assembly fittings were quite rusty and cannot be used to install the replacement filter. He's having trouble tracking down a replacement part.

I'm wondering if there are any alternatives out there that would fit. Any know if a 240, 850 or V70 installation kit would work? Or any other options out there?

This is kind of urgent as the car is now completely out of commission until a solution is found.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
