Broken key - what are my options? 200 1978

I've had it in my head for a while that I should have more than one set of keys for my '78 242 but, genius that I am, I never had a spare made.

Dropped my keys en route to my car this morning, and lo and behold, my key broke. (This is just as well, because a few more steps and it probably would have broken off in the door or the ignition.)

Either way, though, this leaves me keyless. Can a locksmith copy a busted key? Is it possible to contact Volvo for a replacement, or am I 30 years too late?
