M47 Fill Bolt 200 1989

Do not use a torch or any heat on the casing of a transmission. They have a coating or sealing paint on the insides to seal the castings even aluminum in a lot of cases. No pun intended!


You could try welding a hex nut onto the plug and the little bit of heat would be confined to that plug.
A bigger hex will impart greater torque than the original fitting had.
