B23F oil drain plug 200

The drain plug on my '84 B23F has become stripped after 29 years and 330,000 miles. Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 oil changes.

I see that IPD sells a "magnetic oil drain plug" for $4.95 that is supposed to fit my car. However, their plug looks shorter than the OE plug. Has anyone used this replacement part?
