SU problem 444-544

If I keep trying to post, perhaps I can figure out which button to push.
Thanks very much for the responses, and I think Walrus may have been right. I started the engine again this morning and tried again the tuneing procedure. the engine continued to run with the rear mixture all the way lean. I started leaning the front carb and it started running very rough, so I thought perhaps it was running out of fuel. Removed the front carb and checked the throttle butterfly--slightly open top and bottom. I removed the rear carb and the throttle butterfly was obviously closed. I removed the suspected butterfly, turned it 180 degrees, re-installed and it looked much tighter. I'll get everything back together in the A.M. and try one more time. I'm pretty confident that was the problem. Thanks to all, JIM
Walrus, I hope you are able to be here Saturday, and anyone else that can make it will be welcome.
