Inside Drivers Door Handle Broken. Won't Snap Back. 960/S90. 1998 S90-V90 1998

Hi all. I have a 1998 Volvo S90. (960).

The inside drivers door handle just sort-of broke.

It still functionally and mechanically works fine.

What happens is when you are sitting in the drivers seat and then pull the inside handle to open the door everything works fine, except that the handle will not snap back flush after you release it.

It seems that there is some type a "return" spring that may be broken or disconneted. Other than that the handle and the door work fine.

The power locks unlock the door just fine as well.

I have 2 questions?

1. What make the inside handle snap back when you release it?

2. How do you remove the inner door panel? I'm assuming I'll need to get inside the door to fix it.

Thank You ... Mr. Tool
