Saab for Volvo guy

if you like volvos for ease of ownership, easy to work on reliable etc. you will not like a saab, especially a 2000- saab, its a gm saab and from my experience they are not the same creature as old saabs, my family has owned 3 saabs, 1 88 900 turbo, blew up on way home from dealer other was also an 88 turbo, great fun fast car but suffered wiring issues and flooding of course
from the rag top the other a 71 saab 95 interesting little car v4 engine, neat car as far as newer saabs, stay away ive been around 1 2002 saab 9-5, suffered
from expensive headlight issues, immobilizer issues, battery draw issues
oil leaks, turbo seizing, it went on and on, and the car only had 88k miles!
as far as working on yourself there is a special socket to remove the oil
filter and everything is cased in plastic, if you find one you like check the headlights for water intrusion and check the battery out-if its brand spankin new, ask questions
