wrecked my brick need help 200 1987

last week i was coming home from the store and i stopped at the stop sign and it was my turn so i went started turning left to go up my road and i didn't have power steering so i turned the wheels hard to make the turn and the belts i guessed grabbed and bang i hit the guard rail and the right side of the hood is lifted in the rear and i cant get it to open at all i really need ideas welding school starts in a week and its my only ride and my battery is dead i need the hood to open to charge it
