Fire in the Vol... 120-130 1967

A new jet will come with the "O" ring and the flat washer that goes behind it (so the gland nut is not rubbing directly on the rubber). Often the jet tube will be "stuck" and being rough with it may be the only way to get it out. Be sure to have a "pick" tool handy--the original "O" ring will be totally squished and likely still stuck in the float chamber--and sure to cause a leak if it isn't removed. Please mention Dave in Bay Shore sent you his way. When you install the new jet be sure to check that it is centered properly--you'll know that by the sharp metallic click you'll hear when when you drop in the piston/needle assembly--readjusting involves loosening the lower gland nut on the carb body. -- Dave
