where's the Ign Cntrl Unit? '88 LH 2.2 200

Short: Where the heck is the Ignition Control Unit on this LH 2.2 1988 wagon? I'm trying to verify continuity of the gray wire from the ECU to the ICU.

Long: I posted before with questions about the fuel relay. I think I've resurrected that relay (by resoldering) and verified that the problem with non-starting is not injectors or pumps. I find that the ECU is not sending a ground to terminal 86/2 of the relay harness (from pin 17). Continuity on that wire is good. So I'm thinking bad connection from a sensor or ICU, to the ECU. I understand that the LH 2.2 itself is usually above suspicion.

Any other "usual suspects" would be welcome.

Hope I'm not shaking protocol by posting another time on this general problem, but the focus before was on the relay and that seems to be resolved. The post was getting a little long, but could be seen at http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/volvo/1549168/220/240/260/280/fuel_pump_relay_workaround_bad_idea.html.

Full confession: I did run a jumper from fuse 6 supply to terminal 30 on the relay socket, because 12v seemed to be intermittent there. I know now that this throws suspicion on the blade fuse under the hood, but I was still in Fuel System Kindergarten at the time. Won't comment on whether or not I've graduated to First Grade yet...

thanks...David
