Door stuck in OPEN position 200 1991

Hey all,

The door latch on the driver's side backseat door of my 91 240 is stuck open. I tried doing the jimmying tricks with a screwdriver but it refuses to lock into any position other than open. I have searched high and low for fixes on this to no avail. Any suggestions a less-than-fluent female can do without having to ask her dad? I know this seems fairly amateur, but I am legitimately stumped, consulting manuals, searching forums and all i'm finding are ways to open a door stuck in the closed position.
