I haven't seen the driveway, but I would not feel safe. If you live on a quiet street, you might have the option of backing the car into the street in front of your property and doing the work there?

My concern with the driveway is that you will be lowering the engine and transmission and I have trouble visualizing how you would keep a floor (or tranny) jack in place on a sloped driveway. If it rolls away or slips you could hurt yourself or damage the car.
