Rust Pits - Lead Covered 444-544

Considering lead over large rust pitted areas after sandblasting panels/body

Anyone here done this? If so, what’s a good source of lead and lead paste (I know, there is always Eastwood, but I’d like to try local first).

I did some lead work on my gas tank with plumbing solder and it came out really good. I also looked at some videos on applying lead and think I’d like to try it.

Some of my body panels have larger pitted rust area, especially around the trim support holes, but the there is still plenty of steel structure. By filling in the area, I would not be taking away any more steel and still fill/level the panel.

Any thoughts, recommendations on the subject?
