SRS precautions? 200 1990

Most of the time, the SRS won't be an issue when servicing the car. For safety's sake, if you happen to working around the steering column or maybe the driver's seat (sensor is underneath) it is a good idea to disconnect the battery at least a 1/2 hour before beginning work. Another safety measure is to unplug the sensor plug. It is orange plug located under the driver's side carpeting.

Always a good idea to play it safe with the SRS. Those airbags can kill you!
