SRS precautions? 200 1990

Make sure the red SRS lights comes on when starting, like all the other warning lights. That is probably enough.

Good tips from jaywalker.

Unlike a 2013 Lexus SUV with the gentle, cushy and kind airbage, these are version 1, older bedrock style airbags, and will leave you looking like Mike Tyson's revenge. Save your life and almost leave you paralyzed-hard. It saved a friends life with bruises and burns in a 900 from a direct hit runaway trailer. If you ever have to R&R it, start it from the passenger seat or KP II it then hook up the battery ground. Two air bags in later 700/900 and I duck under the steering wheel after I R&R the steering wheel.

Remove the ground when beating on the fuel pump and filter. The sensor is under the seat and above the fuel pump. More information in the 7/9FAQ.

Just B4 the head-on, hands at 4 and 8, face sideways to prevent a broken arm or nose-hard.

Don't start the car with the air bag out. There is a Volvo $1,999.00 gizmo that will let you.
