electrical conundrum 120-130

Thanks Danny. In the meanwhile I took the battery to Kragen, and their machine said that the battery was good. Which points to the generator, or a bad connection, like you said. I cleaned up all the connections per your suggestion, and will wait and see.

If I wanted to test the generator itself to see if it was putting out enough (current?) what kind of tool would I need for that? Also, what does the little Bosch component (a little galvanized metal box about 1" x 2") bolted to the right front fender do. Is that the voltage regulator, or is the voltage regulator built into the generator?

Excuse my ignorance. I know absolutely nothing about the electrical system.

Thanks,
Floyd
