940, fuel part, what's that thing? 900 1995

1995 N/A 945

Fuel pump replacement: right when I was about to pull off the hoses and removing the plastic piece that the pump lives in, I realized that I didn't have a replacement for the small plastic thing that lives between one of the fuel hoses and the housing. Simultaneously, I realized that some of the rubber, and some of the metal on the plastic cover were corroded away.

Q1: regarding the small plastic thing (a check valve?), is it easily found at a place like NAPA (if I break it).

Q2: Is the corrosion noted a big deal? If so, where can I buy a new plastic assembly for a 1995 945?
