naked glove box knob--cover? replacement part? 200

I know this is not a big deal in terms of functionality, but the rubber/plastic (?) covers on the glove box knobs on all three of our 240s have departed the work environment. FWIW, all three are the newer style knobs (86 and up), as also used on 740s (and maybe 940s too).

I checked with dealer parts and they said the cover is not available as a separate part (it's part of the complete lock assembly).

Judging by the lack of these covers at the local PnP, this must be a common problem. What are you guys (and gals) using as a replacement--or are you letting your knobs go naked? ;^)

Thanks in advance!
