Djet SU carbs swap 140-160

Hi Im considering swaping out the stock Djet for twin SU's in my 72 145E. I hear too many bad things about D-jet, I want to go the simple route for dependability & would be a cheaper option in the long run. A local volvo guy has most of the parts for the swap, except for a few of the smaller bits for linkage, choke & mechanical fuel pump. Im inviting opinions on the swap, any pitfalls i might run into etc... as im kinda a volvo newbie... what would a complete working D-Jet system (with "computer") be worth? would i be hurting the value of this nice car by doing the swap?

THX!
Tim
