Plans for 76 Model 242 200

Not answering any of the questions that you asked but If I were building "a sharp 76 Model 242 that I can drive for the rest of my life." I would be looking to put a B23 in it.

I am about 90% sure the B21F head will not mate (directly) up to a B230 block.

Is putting a complete B230 in the car not an option? I would think a B230 with the K-Jet your '81 most likely came with would be a nice combination. I like K-jet a lot unless the system suffers from sitting (none of mine ever did).
