My stupidity- fuel pump connector question 200 1990

As you may remember I am replacing the fuel line from the in-line pump to the fuel rail. When I was un-bolting the fuelpump/filter tray; I let the assembly fall when taking out the rear bolt. It looks like I have strained the wires to the pump as I could see raw copper near one of the white push on connectors. I had to leave it for today, but wondered what type of connector is inside of the white clip thing and how can I most reliably fix it. Ugh, just another case of one step forward, two back. Good news is that using the heat gun to get the nylon line on the barbed fittings worked as Art B described. In debted to you again, Art! Thanks, Greg
