Congrats on getting it going.
BTW I guess you choke linkage is not working....the sus don't choke like regular chokes, they lower the jets to make the mix richer (choked). Your car should have started on choke even with the jets too high. This would also have made TS easier. Note that the initial engagement of the choke cable merely raises the idle, full engagement lowers the jets.
