Suspension/Disc Brake upgrade for a late (59ish) 445? 444-544

Hi All,

I am an Amazon guy, mostly, but LOVE 445 / 210 s. Hope to have one some day . . .

But I would want upgraded brakes (power discs) and the best handling I could get with later volvo parts.
Not looking for an all out performance ($$$) upgrade, but a more modern, safer setup that is all pushrod (pre 1976) volvo.

What do folks use when upgrading to discs? 122s? 140? 240?

A 445 owner I met recently is thinking about putting the entire front cross-member from a 122s under his 445 to get upgraded suspension/brakes. Anyone else do that?

Would a different model be a better donor?

How about the rear? Just keep it?

Same bolt pattern?

Any ideas welcome.

Keep rolling.

Thanks!

BTW - I have a few sets of complete, solid SUH4 carbs that I will be putting on ebay soon. I wanted to give
boarders first crack. LMK.
