Keep it 200

You have put far more into this car than you will ever get out of it in a sale. I think the other gentlemen have hit the nail on the head with respect to the car's market value. You are going to have trouble getting significantly more than $1000 for this car. It is 26 years old and has done almost 400,000 miles. I appreciate that you have rebuilt the car and because of your efforts it is probably in better mechanical shape than most 150,000 mile cars, but this will only matter to "Volvo nuts" like us, and quite honestly most "Volvo nuts" are frugal people.

I have to ask why you are selling the car after putting all of that time and money into fixing it up? You have a fresh gearbox and a low mileage (for a red block) engine in the car, plus a brand new suspension and other goodies. Why not drive the car until the gearbox or engine are toast and then just scrap it? Seems to me that you would get more for the money you have "invested" by driving the car into the ground, instead of trying to sell it.
