'84 245Ti headlight issues 200

Good evening fellow Brickers,
I'm in a bit of a quandry. My 245 sat over the winter and didn't get much love.

My son's pickup is giving him problems so I went out to dust off the wagon and can't get the headlights to work. Initially, some of the tail lights didn't work so I went through each of them and cleaned up the circuits. Now all of the lights in the wagon work perfectly except for the headlights.

I pulled the light clusters out of each side (dual rectangular setup) and cleaned up the contacts thinking they also had a bit of corrosion. They looked to be ok but I went through the cleaning process anyway just to be sure. I addressed the grounds on each side to make sure I had good contact. Looked at the fuse panel and it too was showing some signs of accumulated corrosion so I went through each of the contacts and cleaned them up with wire brushes and emery cloth (they are now more shiny than my silverware!). Cleaned up each end of the fuses and replaced them, checking them first for connectivity. Everything seems to be in order but the headlights. I'm stumped. I assume it's something I overlooking but can't put my finger on it.

BTW, tried flashing the light stalk to bright but they still aren't lighting up? OOOHHH holders of the book of swedish wisdom and knowledge, can you help me?
