92-93 speedo head compatibility w/ earlier 200s? ABS/ not-ABS? 200 1992

There are threads here about the 92-93 speedo head being incompatible with 1986-91 heads. But there are also comments about the difference being ABS vs non-ABS. Anyone know for sure which it is?

Somewhere there was a comment about swapping 2 wires on the 3-wire connector that attaches to the back of the head. (I think it might have been a comment by Art B.) I can't find it. Any tips on finding this thread?

I have 3 240s right now: 90 non-ABS; 91 ABS; 92 ABS. The 91 ABS odometer doesn't work. I've tried several heads to no avail. I flowed the joints on 2 of them but I'm not good at that. I'm gearing up to try these heads in the 1990 - which has a working odometer - and to try the 1992 head (which works) in the 1991.
