Volvo Technical Publication 444-544

Has anyone purchased this Volvo PV "Original Technical Publications" disk from VCOA(first link below)?
Is it worth purchasing?

The second link is for the 240 "Original Technical Publications" from Euro auto parts and it indicates that the files are in PDC security format. This means you cannot access the file until you log on to some link to gain access and can only access it from that computer. So it sounds like if your computer crashes and you reload your operating system you will not able to read the disks again. Any experience anyone?
