preventive transmission cooler line replacement? 200 1990

I've already spliced in a piece of brake line down where the line clamps to the transmission bell housing. Up by the radiator they look pretty good, but down near the exhaust downpipe the lines are downright scary looking. Caked with rust - not sure how much wall thickness is left? I live in Wisconsin so lots of road salt to contend with.

I've thought about bending my own, but sounds like a PITA. Replacement lines can be found online for ~ $60 each. Thoughts?
