Compensating Puzzel 200 1992

The car starts perfectly when cold, runs and accelerates well. In about four minutes it looses power, runs rough and stalls below 1000 rpm. After cooling down it repeats the same problem. Throws only code 2,2,4. I ordered a new temp sending unit but I don't think that should cause so serious a problem. She's had bad temp. sending problems before but never behaved like this.

Any thoughts???

Volvo 240 wagon, 391,000 mi. have since new.
