Transmission Whine 200 1985

Recently my automatic transmission has started to whine on my 1965 240. This is most noticeable when I stop at a traffic light, maybe 10 db, not to loud but irritating. If I put the shifter in neutral the noise stops.

Accelerating away from the light in "D" the transmission shifts through the gears fine, transitions seem solid or crisp.

Two months ago I changed the transmission fluid, dropped the pan on the transmission and cleaned. Also changed the filter element with one from Groton. Transmission was refilled and topped up using the procedure described in the owners manual. Fluid level is good according to the dipstick. The oil that came out was fine, not milky or burnt.

The transmission has 216,000 miles on it.

Any ideas
