Detailing! 200 1988

'88 240DL S/W
Anyone who read my previous post has figured out I'm headed toward detailing my car. Other than wash/wax/vacuum - I'd appreciate feedback on products you've found work the best and that you recommend. (There are so many brands, with so many products, and then they have a multitude of products that do the same thing!)
It's my desire and intent to be thorough (like removing door panels and doing 'maintenance') - anything anyone wants to share will be gladly received!
Upholstery needs - well either to be reupholstered or new seats. Any suggestions on either where to find good 'new' seats - or fabric? Should I
restore to the original leather? (I think I need to replace the lumbar support...not sure where to get that either.) Last time I drove the car, the heated seats worked, keeping my fingers crossed they still do.
Exterior trim - some needs to be replaced, any suggestions on where to find?
Clearly, anything about interior or exterior detailing (and maintenance) is an appropriate reply to this post :)
