88 245 Engine Stumble 200

My 88 245 recently developed a stumbled when coming off load (i.e. when I depress the clutch when braking in traffic). The engine revs drop down into the low hundreds and then they rebound. Twice now it has either stalled or died to the point that the idiot lights come on before it catches again.

The heavier the load on the engine when the clutch is depressed, the more pronounced these symptoms are.

The car does need a tune up, but beyond that I'm looking for potential problem areas to focus my attention on. Does this sound like something that could be caused by a faulty or failing IAC?
