Support bearing on drive shaft. 444-544 1958

I am getting a horrendous racket when I am moving that seems to be coming from the drive shaft area. I took a look at the universal joints and they seem to be tight and greased. I suspect the support bearing on the front drive shaft is making the noise. Are there supposed to be bolts AND nuts holding that bearing bracket in place? Right now, the bracket is just mounted on the two bolts(?) that poke through the rubber bushings that fit in those two holes. I can move this whole piece quite a bit with my hand. Looks very loose. Doesn't seem right to me. Shouldn't the bracket be tight in place?
