ABS LIGHT? 200

Hello fellow Brickboard members,

I have a quick question that may be answered quite easily but has left me scratching my head. My ABS light has been on and every time I push the brake the ABS light goes out.

I figure it is probably a short or dirty wheel sensors. This may sound like a dumb question but I am wondering if I even have ABS. I have a 1991 Volvo 240 wagon. Is there any way to tell if it comes equipped with ABS? Ever since this light came on I have been looking for the ABS module. I looked underneath the glove compartment...not there. I took the front seats out and lifted the carpet...not there. I don't know where else to look or if there is another way to check. My only indication that it may have ABS is the ABS light. I started to think maybe the ABS light is pre-installed to make future upgrades easier. So if you do decide to upgrade it is already wired for it so they just plug in the module and you are good to go.

I am kinda lost on this one. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. I will let you guys know if I find anything else out.

Thanks,
GARRETT
