make sure if you determine the in tank fuel pump hose is deteriorated that you replace it with the right one. it is not fuel injection hose nor it it regular line hose. it is made by gates specifically for this purpose and is called gasoline submersible hose. it is black and you buy it in short pieces b/c it is expensive. it is specially formulated inside and out to not deteriorate in gasoline. ifyou use another type it will deteriorate in a year and repeat this problem.doing it right the first time will avoid limit heinously profane words(not talking about s or h ). regards oldduke ps- avoid dealer for it who will soak you .
