So, figured since this thread got bumped, might as well post the update I promised.

Yep, got the car and got it home. For estimated 300k miles, it seems to be in great shape. Runs and drives as expected. Everything except that overdrive works. Maybe the A/C is out.. forgot to check. It was cold. But the biggies.. heater fan, all lights and other electrics.. spot on. Good glass all around. New tailgate wiring.

Tatty seats, but interior otherwise good. All in all, a fine car.

thing being, we don't exactly need another car. So, it's been agreed that we'll send it to my niece, who turns 16 in October. We'll just let my brother deal with the minor issues.

We all know, of course, that 240s are hip these days :) And the borzoi can stretch out and sleep in the back, which is her favorite thing to do..
