Just to set the record straight, the 2000 models with a manual tranny or the 4 speed automatic are excellent trannies. The 4 speed auto is the same one used in the earlier cars and in the 850's (94 and up) and is quite bulletproof with proper maintenance. It is the 5 speed automatics in the later 2000's, 2001's and 2002's that is less than desirable. With the right tranny, the 2000's are excellent cars!

BTW - There should be a sticker in the engine compartment if the ETM has been changed.
