Odd noise from rear end... 200 1978

I'm gonna head to my mechanic in the next couple days, but was curious in the mean time...

1978, B21F, M45, only ~150k miles

Getting a rather odd growl from the rear end whenever I hit exactly 35 mph. No noticeable vibration, no loss of power, just a g-g-g-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-g-g-g as my speedo passes between 34-36 mph. Goes away as I speed up/slow down, haven't noticed it at any other speed.

It was intermittent at first (began noticing over a month ago) and thought I was just hearing things, but now I can recreate it nearly every time I drive. Thoughts?
