Speedo cluster Removal – Advice Needed 444-544

I have access to speedometer cluster I’d like to restore, but I have to remove it from a vehicle. I have never worked under a PV Dash.

Recommendations for the easiest method to remove the cluster would be greatly appreciated.

I have looked under the dash and the back of the cluster by removing the driver’s seat, placing a board over the floor hump and lying on it with my head under and inside the dash. I have seen pictures of the cluster and it looks like that it’s held in place by 2 nuts and the speedo cable.

Does the cluster come out from the front of the dash, or does it have to be removed from behind? If behind, it looks like the wiper motor is in the way. If that has to come out, any tricks to removing it?

Would it be easier to unbolt the steering column and remove the Phillips screws on both ends under the dash, attempting to remove the whole dash first? What other fasteners need to be removed to loosen the dash?

If some has some additional pictures showing more detail, it would also help.
