vibration on accelleration under load, bad clutch? 200 1982

Hi. I recently had to swap out my drive shaft due to accidentally buggering mine up trying to replace the carrier bearing. After installing the replacement my car began to slightly vibrate from what feels like from the transmission to the rear axle. It only happens under load from a dead stop and accelerating into first and when going up a hill with the whole thing lasting maybe a couple seconds. Theres zero vibration any other time and everything else feels good. I took my car to the place where I got the drive shaft and after driving my car around the block the mechanic said its the clutch, does this sound right? The u-joints and everything else look good, bearing was good, and I replaced the carrier bearing rubber gasket. Thanks!
