You can practice on mine! (mine has a slight sag that gets a tiny bit worse year by year).

Unfortunately, all I've ever gathered about it is that it's a rather finicky procedure that only improves with practice. You 'latch' it into the channels around the rear window and then tug it forward. Not too much, not too little, and the excess just gets tucked and trimmed at the windshield header.
