'94 940 AC compressor clutch test 900 1994

Hi,

Still working with my wife's 945t AC not coming on. The compressor won't engage, even when shorting the pressure switch on the receiver.

There is a single wire on the compressor that leads up to a bullet connector near the intake manifold. Looked like a fuse holder but it's just a connector.

Measuring the compressor end of the wire to ground I get 2.7 Ohms, which could be a solenoid coil. I don't have a proper wiring diagram for this car, apparently '94s were different than earlier.

Using a clip lead to the battery's + terminal doesn't make the compressor clutch engage, key on or off, engine on or off.

Was this a valid test? On the compressor, the wire goes first to something that could be an internal switch, then a shorter lead goes back behind the pulley, which I assume is to energize a clutch solenoid.

Anything else I can try or is this clutch toast?

Thanks,

Erwin in Memphis
