repair an alloy rim w JB Weld or ? 200 1988

I bent and abraded the outside edge of the rim on a Volvo 14" alloy (5 spoke) wheel. Made in Germany. The tire stayed on, no flat. I drove 12 miles to get home. By 24 hrs later tire was flat, bead was not broken loose. Look at the pic. A small slice is missing apart from the bent over section. I'm planning to carefully bend back the metal which remains, file/grind any metal outside of the original lines. Then clean well around the damaged alloy, fill and build up at any voids w JB Weld. When it's cured I'll file/grind/sand to accurate circumference, thickness etc to match. Then paint the whole wheel.
I have an inner tube I can put in if that would relieve some pressure on the repair. This alloy wheel is one of a set of four, w tubeless all season radials, so I want to keep using it w the other three.
I don't know about alloy wheels. Are there repair specialists who would do it better?
Should I only use the repaired rim on rear wheels?
