What Paint Job Would You Get??? 200

What is its original color? You know, if it does not match the door sills, trunk and hood on the inside, it will look like a half ass job either way!

Stay away from clear final coat paints unless you garage it a lot as the sun murders those surfaces like a red paint job fades.

Black is hot in the summer but looks sharp if kept clean and shiny.

Pearl is a softer white but it will be hard to repair just like a metallic blue. Both have to be done professionally to look nice otherwise be expecting flaws unless yo shop carefully and pay for what you hope to get.
Some body shop people are like artist with a blank canvas. You end you with they feel, looks good to them and it is sold either way! It's not like buying something you can see before hand.

I bought a piece of etched glass art work once base on his other work in his gallery. He said he could do something in between this or that scene. I place a nice down payment before hand.

What I did not know was, he was heading into a divorce during my waiting period. What I ended up with was a picture with a large amount of dark ominous clouds above a steam driven locomotive crossing the open plains. The clouds sort of mixed with the smoke streaming from the train. It still showed his meticulous effort with some dessert details, though the type of clouds were distracting as you could see his unconscious thoughts, IMO.

In body work they call it orange peel, mottling and shading of the metallic are starters!
Like the other poster said, then there is the new waterborne color based paints and their longevity issues too!
The new cars "peel out" in many different ways than the old cars did! (:) Front wheel drives, hoods, the tops and the trunk lids.

Good luck, but if you are in love, it does not matter, as it conquers all imperfections.
Phil
