Complete shutdown 140-160

Good day all
My otherwise problem free 1974 144 (single carb) has developed problems over mother's day. I was driving in town when it suddenly stalled at the stop lights. I restarted without any problems and drove on. Few minutes later it did the same thing. It could not crank and nothing electrical worked, not even the emergency hazard lamps. I tried to start again, and it fired right up as if nothing ever happened. As of now, it runs normal. I have checked all grounds, alternator and battery. All are ok. Is there anything else I need to check? Fusebox maybe? Thank you.
Never had this happened in last 39 years.
