140/160 Rust Repair Panels 140-160 1971

140s and 240s look mighty similar. Especially from the doors back.

But there were significant changes throughout the series.. '67-70 was similar in ways, '70-73 were similar in ways, '73-74 were similar in ways... more major changes in '75 and '76, and throughout the 240 series.

I really doubt that floor pans for a 240 will work in a '71 140 without modification. Not to say it might not be the closest match, but the same? I really, really doubt it.

You're a 240 guy. Do you still have a 240? If so, pull some carpet in both cars and make some comparisons.

140s are not highly desirable restoration vehicles. Not unique enough to be sought after by all but a few of us. And not worth enough to warrant high cost parts, again.. except for a few folks.

So, low demand+high cost=low availability of some parts. You kinda gotta go with what you can find, and that's often times used bits.

Good thing is, there are used bits out there. Don't be shy in asking here.

A donor car might be your best bet to get properly fit pieces.
