Tranny life and can tranny front seal leak make car unreliable by quickly dumping all ATF? 200 1979

The reason the converter seal may be leaking again is possibly wear on the snout. It can also be wear on the converter bushing inside the pump body. I'd think that's more likely. Any BW55 that goes the distance that yours has deserves a full rebuild. That's great service its given.
A converter seal can blow a lot of oil out and you'll know because a bunch of it will get on the hot exhaust pipe.
There is no predicting what will happen. Me, I wouldn't leave town.
