Another radiator thread 200 1992

I got curious about radiator life and read the 700/900 FAQs. Seems they have an average life expectancy of 8 years. And, the favorite is aluminum/plastic over all-metal. I have both 245 '92 (Al/plastic) and a 760 '90 (all metal). Latter looks to be an aftermarket replacement. Former is OEM original issue.

I plan to visit PNPs for replacement(s) to store away for that rainy day. Seems, too, that the same radiator will fit both models. But have to be careful about the temperature sensor.

So, do readers still favor Al/plastic? Is an 8 year life still realistic?

I like the tip in the other current thread to have a radiator shop check out a PNP radiator, provided the PNP will offer a warranty.

For the fun of Volvos,
Mike
