140 gone wild 140-160 1974

Background:
I recently bought a '74 140 with a K-Jet B20. The weakest link to this whole car was the wiring, which looked like it had been done by blindfolded monkeys. It was horrific. Anyway, a month or two ago I had a short in the ignition system. I had been busy with work and school before I could replace all the bits (then when I had time, it was raining; lovely Portland) ;i.e. IPD tune-up kit.

The Problem:
It starts fine and will idle. The tach is a little spastic for a bit, then the whole thing goes to full throttle. I am not sure if it could be an electrical problem or a gummed up injector. Like I said, it did sit for a month or two.

Any pointers on where to start would be extremely helpful. I am not too familiar with this kind of intake. Thanks!

(Note: the engine bay electrical situation has been cleaned up)
